River Trail Nature & Writing Adventure featuring Luzalem

Join Mainely Succulents Friday May 10th 6-7:30pm for a workshop with Luzalem, a creative writer and artist from Chile! Get out and enjoy our Maine woods & river trail views & work with us to grow your creativity & writing skills! 

Our adventure will begin on the Stillwater river trail. We want to inspire your writing to be as fresh as the spring wind.  How does the river flowing relate to the way you follow your dreams? How does noticing how trees grow inspire or relate to the way we think? This adventure is all about taking a look outside of ourselves nature is the best mirror!

We will venture back to our cozy Mainely Succulents studio & plant shop with some treasures we collected from nature. We will then be led by Luzalem in an automatic writing exercise to get our brains flowing. 

Plant Doctor Lauren will then lead everyone through choosing the perfect plant for you! We will all choose based on the plant’s unique characteristics & this plant will be your personal inspiration for our next writing exercise. What can a plant say about yourself? What poem is hidden between it’s leaves? 

As a group we will do three connected writing exercises that carry us to creating a beautiful poem.
